Stephen Cottrill passed away on 06th May 2007 aged 55.
Loved very much my dad was a devoted husband, father, granddad, brother, uncle and friend.
My dad was the most gentle, loving and caring man you could of ever met.
He had the patience of a saint and a heart of gold.
The love my mum and he shared is something I have never seen...he was my mums rock and she was his.
Anyone who knew or met my dad would love him, he had the best sense of humour, was great for a laugh and always had a smile on his face.
Dad loved his cup of tea and his most famous words were 'put the kettle on'.
My dad went into hospital with a suspected stroke, the doctors came to asses him, but he didnt wake up! They asked us to leave so they could wake him, 20 minutes later they were telling us he was seriously ill and suffered a heart attack.
Dad fought so hard to stay with us, i remember it all like yesterday.
Why did they try to wake you? Why didnt they leave you sleeping peacefully?

I tried to write yesterday, but could not see the screen through the tears! The chinese lanterns were lovely and i hope you were watching over us all & admiring your beautiful grandchildren..you would be so proud! You are always in my heart & thoughts everyday. today is ur anniversary you've been gone 3 years now dosent seem that long it jst seems like yesterday u were with us! It still feels like a bad dream, me and mum always talk about u all the funny times and funny stuff u used to do, i try to think of the good stuff but i jst miss u soo much
